LEE DETHRONES CHA IN FUJITSU UPSET

In a stunning upset, John J-S Lee defeated Jimmy Cha in yesterday's North American Fujitsu.

The 6-dan amateur forced the defending champion, a 4-dan professional, to resign after just 153 moves; the exciting game, with comments by Lee, will appear in next week's E-Journal.

Membership in the American Go Association continued to break new ground in December, increasing for a record seventh consecutive month.
